Apart from the eight Key Learning Areas (KLAs) students are offered the opportunity to join in the following activities that are offered throughout the school year:
- “Auskick" - Members from the AFL run a ten week program on the school’s main oval – usually on a Tuesday afternoon in Term 1 each year - from 3.00pm to 400pm - providing students with the opportunity to improve their fine motor skills and have fun!
- Keyboard Lessons – A Teacher from the Primary Music Institute visits the school each Tuesday and teachers students interested in learning how to play on a keyboard. There is a cost to parents wishing to enrol students in this program. Parents are invoiced from the Institute each term.
- Funky Dance – Each Wednesday at second break students are given an opportunity to learn movement through dance. Each lessons costs approximately $3-00.
- Tennis Coaching – Each Friday morning from 7.20am students can enrol in tennis lessons – conducted on the Multi-Purpose Courts. Parents can contact the office for details on how to enrol in this activity.
As further opportunities are presented our School Principal, in consultation with members of the P & C Association, will decide if the benefits and costs involved are suitable for our students taking into account the classroom activities / excursions already programmed for the term / year.
