In 2018 a new school chaplain joined us at Kallangur State School. Bee Peever-Morgan is known by the students as ‘Chappy Bee.
She is here to provide social, emotional and spiritual support. Chaplains are
in the prevention and support business: helping students find a better way to
deal with a range of issues through a variety of programs and Pastoral care.
They provide a listening ear and caring presence for children and young people
in crisis, and for those who just need a friend. Bee also provides support for
the staff and parents in the school community.
Chappy is here on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This position is funded through the
National Schools Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program (NSCSWP) however it
does not cover all days at the school. Further financial support is
needed. To donate to the cause please visit the SU Qld Champion Your Chappy website.
If you need to reach the Chaplain please contact the school
administration directly on (07) 3491 5308 or email email@example.com
